Some players pass through a college town and leave. Nick Bolton left something behind.

Bolton plays linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, where he has become a central piece of one of the best defenses in the league. But before any of that, there was the University of Missouri — and the people there clearly haven't forgotten.

Mizzou is inducting Bolton into its Athletic Hall of Fame, a recognition that his time on campus meant something beyond the games he played there.

For a player who now works in January every year, that kind of nod from where you started carries its own weight. It says the foundation held.
