Some numbers are quiet until someone else's list makes them loud.

Tuli Tuipulotu spent last season doing real damage. Fourth in the league in tackles for loss — which means getting to ball carriers before they can get started — and sixth in sacks. That's a production line most edge rushers would frame and hang on a wall.

Then a recent ranking of the league's top edge rushers came out. Tuipulotu wasn't on it. Not 15th, not 18th. Not in the top 19 at all.

There's no clean explanation for the gap between what the numbers say and where a ranking lands. Sometimes it's about reputation still catching up to reality. Sometimes voters weight things differently. Sometimes a player is just doing more than people have noticed yet.
