Hopkins says he has more left, but he's not chasing anyone to prove it

There's a particular kind of calm that only comes from knowing exactly who you are. DeAndre Hopkins has it.

Hopkins spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens as one of the most decorated wide receivers of his generation — the kind of player defenses game-plan around even when the years start to stack up. He is not on a roster right now. He is a free agent. And he is apparently fine with that.

He said as much himself: he has a lot left, but he is in no rush to be a regular-season superstar. That is not a retirement speech. It reads more like a man who has earned the right to be selective — someone who knows what he brings, and is waiting for the situation that deserves it.
