Seven years later, Moreau finds his way back to where it started

Some reunions are just business. This one has a little more to it.

Fabian Moreau was drafted by Washington back in 2017, one of those early career moments that shape everything that comes after. He built his game, moved around the league, and most recently played under defensive coordinator Daronte Jones in Minnesota. Now both of them are in Washington together — Jones is the Commanders' defensive coordinator, and Moreau is signing on to join him.

The deal brings Moreau back to the city that first bet on him as a cornerback, under a coach he already knows and trusts. That existing relationship matters. Starting somewhere new is hard; starting somewhere new with a familiar voice in the meeting room is something else entirely.

For a veteran cornerback without a team, this is the kind of landing spot worth waiting for.
