Wide Receiver · Buffalo Bills
Tyrell Shavers
No. 14 · 4th season
Shavers made it through the playoffs, then the offseason caught up with him
He played through the postseason. That part worked. What it cost him is still being sorted out.
Tyrell Shavers is a wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills — and heading into training camp, he won't be on the field. He's starting the summer on what the league calls the physically-unable-to-perform list, which means a player is recovering from an injury and can't practice with the team when camp opens. For Shavers, the injury traces back to the playoffs.
The Bills know what they have in him when he's healthy. The question right now is when that version of him returns. Every day of camp he misses is a day someone else is learning the offense, building chemistry, earning a role.
There's still a whole season ahead. But it doesn't start the same for everyone.
