Tyler Guyton

No. 60 · 3rd season

The competition is over. Guyton's job is his.

Some battles don't need a highlight reel to matter. They just need an answer.

Tyler Guyton spent this offseason doing something most young players dread: defending a job they thought they'd already won. The Cowboys opened a real competition at left tackle — Guyton on one side, Nate Thomas on the other — and made Guyton prove it again.

He did. Guyton stays with the first-team unit at left tackle heading out of the offseason program.

For a player still early in his NFL career, that kind of internal pressure can go one of two ways. It either chips away at your confidence, or it hardens it. Guyton came out the other side with the job.

The Cowboys know what they have. Now it's his to keep.
