Three years in, Zay Flowers has made his case
Some players take a season to find their footing. Zay Flowers took about three quarters of one.
Since arriving in Baltimore, Flowers has caught 237 passes for over 3,100 yards and 14 touchdowns — and done it while becoming one of the few players at his position the Ravens have built around rather than borrowed. Two Pro Bowl selections in three years is a statement. The number says plenty: this was not a slow build.
What the counting stats don't capture is the shift in how he's regarded. He started as a promising young receiver on a run-first team. He's leaving that early reputation behind.
The question now isn't whether Flowers belongs. It's what the next chapter looks like for a player who got here faster than almost anyone expected.
