Tucker Kraft turned a short pass into something worth remembering

Not every big play announces itself before it happens. Sometimes Jordan Love throws a pass that looks routine, and then Tucker Kraft does something with it that ends up on a year-end list.

Kraft is the Green Bay Packers' best player at turning catches into yards after the catch — the part of the game that happens after the ball arrives, when defenders are closing and the tight end has to make a decision in about half a second. It's where instinct and size and stubbornness meet, and it's where Kraft has built his reputation.

The play that landed at number four on the Packers' top plays of 2025 came off a Love throw. What Kraft did with it after the catch was the story. That's usually how it goes with him.

For a young tight end still establishing himself, showing up on a list like that — not for a touchdown catch on a perfect route, but for what he did with the ball in space — says something about where his game lives.
