Vance Joseph watched six games and saw a future starter
Six games. That's all Que Robinson needed to make someone believe.
Robinson is an edge rusher — the player whose job is to get past blockers and bring down the quarterback — who came to the Denver Broncos as a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Fourth-round picks are supposed to develop quietly, to earn their way onto the field slowly. Robinson had other plans.
In his first taste of professional football, Robinson sacked two of the most talked-about quarterbacks in the league: Patrick Mahomes and Drake Maye. Six games. Two quarterbacks who know how to avoid contact. Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph noticed, and he said what coaches rarely say out loud about a rookie that new to the job — that Robinson looks like a future starter.
That kind of endorsement from a coordinator is not handed out. It means someone saw something in the way Robinson moves, the way he reads a play, the way he competes when the lights are on. Whatever it was, it was enough to change how this team thinks about the position going forward.
